Doggiestyle Cafe - Bad Food

Visited Doggiestyle Cafe at Nex today with J, because iii Cafe was closed (and we didn't check!) sigh. Wasted our time & parking tickets :(

I had previously visited iii Cafe & K9 Kulture with friends, but without Aubrey because she had not completed her vaccinations. iii Cafe has a nicer ambiance, but K9 Kulture's food is better. Shall blog in more detail about the 2 cafes the next time I visit them with Aubrey :)

Doggiestyle Cafe is located on the top floor of Nex, next to Pet Safari. Aubrey wasn't offered water until we requested for it (Perhaps because we entered the store with her in the carrier?). Granted, the water served was chilled. The cafe was pretty empty except for a table of 2.

(Didn't take pictures because I didn't intend to write a review actually)

Read that the menu had undergone several overhauls and the current pricings of human food were pretty steep. We got Calamari ($9.90), Carbonara Spaghetti ($12.90), Mocha Frappe ($6.20) and Vanilla Milkshake ($6).

Quite frankly, the calamari was possibly one of the worst I've ever had. The portion was pathetically small, probably about 8 rings, the batter incredibly hard and tasteless and several of the squid rings were overfried and became tough and dry.

Squid Jerky? Just horrible.

The spaghetti was cooked way past al-dente, but J said it was still edible and compared to the sad portion & taste of Calamari, it was 'more worth it'.

We were shocked that the frappes came in miserable small plastic cups. For that price (pricier than Starbucks/Coffee Beans), I was expecting way more in terms of quantity and presentation. Taste wise, they were still drinkable I guess.

Didn't get any dog food for Aubrey because she just had her lunch and we brought our own treats.

As for the cleaniless, there was no 'dog smell', but the floor could really do with some sweeping because there were fur everywhere.

This was on whole a really disappointing trip and I would not reccomend a visit (perhaps that's why there weren't customers in the cafe... I should have read hungrygowhere before visiting sigh).

A picture of the qtpie :)
